Shimano Raider Travel Rods 710 3pc Spin

Travel rods were once seen as a really poor third choice behind conventional one and two-piece rods, but longer rods often created storage and transport problems. This was an issue not only for travelling fishos, but those requiring to access public transport to get their fishing fix, or when living in confined accommodation such as units. Fortunately, Shimano’s commitment to the development of quality multi-piece and easily-transportable rods over the years has made fishing travel so much more fun for the mobile fisho. The new Raider Travel series certainly bears this out. Built on premium Japanese 30-36 ton Toray high modulus graphite blanks, they have been designed to mimic one and two-piece rods in both performance and action. From the near invisible ferruling system — so important when a rod must break down into three or four pieces — to the custom Shimano reel seats and hard wearing split EVA grips, it’s quality all the way with the Raider Travel series. The use of Zirconian Sea Guides guides throughout the range typifies this. The lineup is comprehensive, covering fishing styles as diverse as barra fishing with baitcaster and spin reels, estuary bream, spinning the coastal shoreline, snapper and heavier offshore work.
